Latest Recency Bias I've been seeing muntjacs all the time, but I think that's just how seasons work.
This month has already been a bit weird. Cold as always, but there was a thin sheet of snow for a couple days last week. It was, frankly, annoying. I caught a nasty cold as a result and then later a nastier cough. It's actually still going. I finally booked my flight to Thailand this summer, by extension booking travel insurance for the full year (to cover both this and my Chicago trip/s). Yesterday I cancelled a GP appointment; I don't need them to say I should monitor my breast some more. Big whateverburger. I saw five magpies in one sighting. I'm still waiting on that silver.
Commonplace Entries: I should try photo-bashing faces together under a B&W threshold filter. Use baby oil to remove laptop stickers. Bonds grow when you let your kid gossip over a sweet treat. I should frame Minecraft screenshots. I should play Minecraft, for that matter. Homestead modpack. I should make arched entryways in my future home. No fold sort laundry system for the ADHD mind. I should be mining with a silk touch pickaxe to hit with the fortune pickaxe later to keep inventory consolidated. Saceila on Instagram has a fire hooded eye eyeshadow technique. Feta is best stored in salty distilled/boiled-and-cooled water.
Games I'm Playing
South Park The Fractured But Whole Finished this one about a week ago. Really fun stuff. I feel like I would've loved South Park growing up but, as it stands, I can only appreciate it in game form. I want to return to this later in the month or next few months to 100% it.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 Played quite a bit of it years ago on Game Pass, but I decided to buy it for myself recently. I'm not super engaged with the dialogue, which is a shame because there's so much to click through, but I think this one is a sleeper hit in the "cosy" games field.
Felvidek 15th century dark fantasy Slovakia! I'm not a history nut nor do I actively engage in games with no Steam Achievements but this gripped me. I was so enamoured by the aesthetics of it all, even if I had to put in a lot of mental work to understand the ye olde dialect. Once you do, though, it's hilarious at times. Apparently, I missed some things so I'll be going back to this at some point.
Clover Pit I can't stop winning! I understand why this was in the running for multiple game awards. Some mechanics are still lost on me but I'm really getting into this one. Balatro paved the way. I need to play Balatro again.
Media Treats
- Bad Apple but it's Bad Apple but it's... My favourite iteration so far.
- .... ø·ø ̈ùšù„ø© ... ø£øoù†ùšø©... don't be fooled by the thumbnail.
- Imaginal Deli (Magdalena Bay x Ice Spice) legendary video pull, 700 views.
- AI Hype chills.
- Africa's "big crack" the crack that starts in Djibouti.
KiiiKiii 키키 ‘Delulu' Track Film WOW WOW WOW! I only really liked BTG from their debut EP but this is so 2000s Europop karaoke. I get a weird taste in my mouth whenever I rave about a noughties thing because it feels like a big buzzword nowadays but, hey, people are talking about 2016 right now so I think I can let this one slip. This, Do the Dance (ILLIT), and Focus (Hearts2Hearts) make me really excited for our rookie groups this generation.
