Games I don't think I'll be making

Soon. Games that won't be made soon. I think I've got such grandiose ideas for these that I just feel inadequate bringing them into fruition. Totally rancid vibe I don't need, but I'm trying to reframe it into a positive, "it'll happen when I'm ready," motivational thing. In the meantime I guess I wanted to use this space to talk about them.
Girl the Goblin: DX
A 1-bit point-and-click adventure into a dream version of a house you can't escape from, featuring an array of dreammates, a ghost, a room you can't get into, and visions of an objectified self. 5 minutes of no substance.
I actually did have some kind of Ren'Py build back in 2023/24 (can't remember when) which looked pretty sick, as you can see here. I also did some musings in one of my first blogs (that's now unpublished because I'm shy) about the kind of story I wanted to tell. At first, it was meant to be as abstract as a 5 minute Game Jam entry can be with some exploration into derealisation. Now, it represents my experience of growing into the body of a woman.
On Yellow Hill
An adaptation of my hazy half-term holiday memories. Explore an unremarkable town, complete mundane tasks, follow two high schoolers, and make sense of the world through its parallel versions.
This was going to be another point-and-click Ren'Py game until I decided I'd tackle it once I became familiar with RPG Maker and turn it into a full RPG, which means I want to get a team behind me for this one day. Something to the effect of Deltarune/Undertale with a UK-focus. This is a big project I can't imagine taking on for another couple of years, but I know I'll have made it if I can get Lauzza or Nohluhn on this shit. The furthest I ever got with this was this cover and some character designs I'll have to share at some point.
Some Smaller Projects
Dual G.O.R. "Dual Grind Orange Rind," I don't have anything to show for this one beyond two images: a humanoid with a nail file that lives under your kitchen sink, and a growing hole in your living room.
Mountain out of a Maybe My most recent dropped project, a Ren'Py NVL about the absence of snow and deriving others of what you can't have. Episodic is probably how I'd want this to go.
Waiting for Ro I think this is the oldest dormant project I've got, at least one I wouldn't mind revisiting. This was meant to be a simple dialogue for the O2A2 (One of Any Asset) jam, and one very bitter towards my last relationship at that. It'll be interesting to revisit this with a more forgiving perspective.
I know it's easier to just write about all the ideas I have rather than actually provide anything for each of them, but I appreciate the time you've taken to read this regardless. I've got a lot going on this year which, while positive, will keep me busy for a while. Still, the fact that I've held onto these projects in the back of my mind for years is proof that they're meant to be real one day, and one day I'll finally work towards that.
